Time for me to kick into 3rd gear and into 2010 with this "floor filler" club like track.
Don't take this track too seriously. Just kick back and relax OR start chairwaving like i do. :D

Hope you enjoy it (mastering is still in the works and hence the mid-low sound quality).

Atmotion - Distance by Atmotion

Not really sure about the genre here (big surprise), but if i had to label it with tags it would be: techno melodic hard atmospheric

Like the chord progression from the beginning. Nice pads, when they come in, too. Nice atmosphere on the break. Love that mid-line bass. Nice build into the relaunch. Nice musical complexity.

Really, quite a nice tune, you have here. Great work.

Thanks for the comment & support. :)

Nice to see you again man, long time - will run your track tomorrow morning.

Cheers.

hey atmotion, hope you're well.

im surprised this is 140bpm, it feels around 135 to me. sounds like a progressive/trance track really; dont think its techno at all (except for drums, and some percs which give it a hard drive(nice)). i really like the long atmosphere, and i think its a nice track. cheers.

I'm doing great thanks for asking. :)
Just getting back to producing after a bit longer "hiatus".

Hm, i'm quite sure it's 140 bpm atleast before i edited it with Ableton Live (wich i did set to 140 bpm aswell).. I was unsure of the genre, but i did think it leaned more towards trance, but thats just cosmetical.

Glad you liked it and cheers for the support.

Oh and on a sidenote, one of my tracks (To Square One) was played by Christopher Lawrence in his Rush Hour 024 March 2010 set. Check it out. The mix is also available free for download. :toocool:

I kinda like the idea, but I have some suggestions. Take the section from 3:40 on until 5:15, merge the second breakdown there into the first of that section and glue the whole new thing to the beginning starting at 1:36. :D
I don't like the long breakdown, it's simply to long...

All good points, but i think i will leave it like this atleast before i get it properly mastered. Seeing how my time of producing has gotten very limited, i think it will stay as it is for now. Well atleast it works the way i intended it to work. :D

Much appreciated for the feedback.

Check you SC for my comment.
