| dont get me wrong, i really enjoyed both halflife games. but i don't get the universal acclaim, particularly for the second one. it was a fun, competent shooter. but nothing more. |

that picture is a fake. someone used their photoshop detective skills to announce that it's a photo of "a black piece of paper" that someone the brushed and added the logo, freeman and Valve logo.
Gabe (the man himself) responded to my email. Take it, I've asked repeatedly (maybe 20 times over the past year) about Episode 3 with no response. But on this, he is stern.

^^^it IS my favorite series of all time. I want Episode 3 bad. But right now, looking at Source, a now 6 year old engine, I wouldn't be surprised if it (or Half life 3) was released along a brand new Valve engine.
I'm surprised how long Source has been alive. The little engine that could (be heavily modified):) |

| Yea dunno about this. I'm sure there will be a 3 but like Suspicion said they are most likely developing a new engine first. Portal 2 is their new baby atm. |

I share that view over the second one. The first one was very good though. |

That. The first one was good, the second one was...decent, but people treated it like it was the best game in the world ever. Also, haf of the hype it got was because of that damn "gravity gun" which was supposed to be a revolutionary weapon, never before seen in video games. Which didnt explain that nasty feeling i had while playing it that i had used a gun like that once before, that could pick stuff up and fling it at enemies, even pick enemies up and throw them away to et rid of them. Then i reembered as i was going trough my old SNES games.

The sucker or "Gravity gun", 1994 on the SNES. |
