Bass Centering VSTs?
View this Thread in Original format

Hey, was trying to remember the name of a couple VSTs I used to use that could adjustably center everything below a set frequency.

Lost them in a HD crash so if you could recommend some, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

there's a mastering plug by BX that will do what you want but i can say that i've had a lot of problems in the last year w/ low end and keeping things simple on a bassline is the way to go (one mono and center and anything w/ top tones layered and high passed) .

if you own sonalksis stuff their stereo imager has a collapse and mono feature w/ frequency control

I might keep that Sonalksis in mind, but the ones I had were pretty basic. Basically, just that width section from the Sonalksis one.

You could use basslane which is a free plugin on PC, or you could use any EQ capable of M/S functioning. EQ's like that are things like Tracks, Redline EQ, Flux Epure, Pro q by fabfilter... Etc etc...

You basically just need to highpass the side channel if you're doing the M/S EQ thing. but make sure you're in linear phase mode or it'll end badly for you...

I believe that's bx_control V2 that you're referring to.

You could also use the stereo imaging module in iZotope Ozone.

Anything in the likes of bassLane as an AU for Logic users that works with OS 10.4.
Wasn't successful after an hour of search on google...:whip:

Wasn't there a plugin from TBK called TBK Mono or something?
DJ ICE777
I can only find the TBK1 filter from Sonalksis. I don't think there is such a thing anymore. I reckon I need to update my system...:D
