| In all honesty I probably should've left out that Grouper track and replaced it with Tiny Vipers - A Forest on Fire. |

this was awesome, bit of a strange set in regards to where it was going, it was like listening to the dalaaamaa or something in some parts :wtf:
in some parts it became almost uncomfortable to endure but in a nice way, really intense sounding and really gripping. in one track it sounded like a boat klaxxon going off and there was imminent bombardment of chems. say agent orange if you are from the 1980s.
some of the vocal samples layered in there were pretty interesting, the tape effects and other shizzles, quite cool.
but yeah i really enjoyed this, will keep this with my other stash of falony for play during the remainder of the english summer (its raining)
well played me old sir |

Hahaha. I could definitely see how it's overly creepy. I was relistening to it and was like, "Yep, you can definitely hear children dying there."
Thanks for checking it again :wtf: |

Hey so I listened, I didn't think it was quite as creepy as the posts in here have suggested. The first 3/4ths of the mix were pretty dark and creepy but when it drifted into the psychedelic rock it stopped being creepy altogether. I didn't mind the rock, but it seemed like maybe it was a bit of an afterthought on top of what was an incredibly dark and creepy ambient set. It definitely made it unique. I didn't even hear any kids screaming or dying, when does that come in? :wtf:
Btw, I know this is anal, and very nitpicky, but I have had problems with this recently as well: is your soundcard sampling sounds at too low of a rate? Because some of the audio is quite crackly and distorted in some spots, especially the recorded audio of the Jonestown stuff.
The mix was good, I enjoyed it. Nice work :disbelief |

A lot of my older sets were recorded at a friend's place where it was all set up with professional soundcards. This new stuff is kinda wankishly recorded.
The audio quality for the Jonestown audio is bad because it's from the 60's :p.
And you can hear kids crying at like the halfway mark when that woman sayd "they're not crying from pain, it's just a little bitter tasting" and right before that Zola Jesus track kicks in. |

fritzl? :nervous: :nervous:
All these coments about it being creepy is scarying me away, when are you doing techno again?? :D |

lulz, dunno. Dance music gets tiring for me so I stop getting new tracks and wind up finding I'd rather listen to as opposed to play out.
This is why I couldn't ever dj professionally. Unless there was rampant substance abuse. And even then. |
