Just curious what some of the most helpful tutorials you have seen are, and if you don't care, could you link them?

For quick, effective tips and tricks I give my 2 cents to Airbase.

Don't really have an opinion yet on the broader and longer tutorials as I have not seen many nor applied many in practice, but I'm workin' on it.

I think a lot of it depends on what level you are at. When I was first getting back into production 4 years ago, almost every tutorial was immensely helpful. Now a days, the most value I get out of any tutorial is usually a feature of a software instrument that I was not aware of or a particular creative method that I had not thought about.

yea sorry, they are sequencer specific. my bad. looking for more general tutorials, like Ian Carey explaining the Sonnox Plugs etc.

Not really a tutorial, but Fleming does a good job explaining his track and giving pointers.

Some Chris Lake tutorial was an eye-opener for me. Since then I've been using a lot less EQ and started to simplify some techniques which improved the overal quality of my production a lot.

Edit: This one I think: http://www.musictechtutorials.com/i...dio-chris-lake/

It was the main trigger that made me go back to my roots again (sample based production). Just now, probably about 18 months later, I'm using almost no synths or VST synths anymore and production is getting way more interesting for me :-). Back to the oldschool bit-chopping sample productions like in '95 yall!

yea, too bad i don't know logic, but to be honest, i'm not a fan of his style in the least bit. this is going to sound insane, but most of his stuff is too trancey for me. Needs to ease up on the saw sine saw sine saw sine saw sine

i found his production methods very helpful for a genre that can be very time consuming to make.

Diginut, I don't know if either these two tutorials are worthy of sticky, but maybe have a look and see what you think.
