that's funny. i used to have to void tickets all the time.

although a fair majority of people would buy the ticket anyway, even if it wasn't the numbers they wanted, precisely in case something like this happened
WittyHandle
Sounds like a great story to spin by the lottery industry to reduce voided tickets, especially since it's cited in the article that it is very common for people to do so. If I were in the lotto biz, that's what I'd do.

surprise surprise...it's a newfie.

I just plain feel sorry for the person

He will never have that chance again.

a better question is why would you buy one in the first place. You might as well go to the casino.
Sunsnail
They void them before the drawing obviously

do you guys not understand how it works? ok.

Customer: Lemme get 1, 4, 6, 10, 20, 50 on da lotto
Cashier: ok *print*
Customer: Nah nah nah wait! change dat 4 to a 5
Cashier: ok *void* *print a new ticket*

it happens a lot
Evol`
Yeah but why would he void a ticket, you should have equal chances with whatever numbers you choose. That unlucky bastard should just took both of those tickets...
