So this party is what it takes to get people to come to Philadelphia? :conf:

:(

we are all hope so, i think it's time to Philadelphia to move somewhere else in a nightlife :eyespop:

It's the same thing everywhere you go, HIP HOP, HOUSE, R&B and top 40, very tiring at this point, so with this party and the future party, i hope Philadelphia will be able step over to 2010 and see there are more thing out there, then same that been played in lounges or clubs(not like we have any - only voyeur).

Philadelphia already has an amazing EDM scene catering to varied tastes: house, trance, techno, dubstep/deep bass, dnb, nu-disco/hipster house, and experimental. What's tough about Philly is a lot of the parties are in warehouses, so you have to know about them to find them.

Last weekend, I decided to skip NYC for what Philly techno offered. On Friday, I drank and smoked by the Schuylkill River while DJs spun techno in the moonlight. On Saturday, I was at an all night techno dance party with amazing DJs and a video show.

I know Philly has a small scene compared to NYC, but there is a scene here. I wish people would come down once in a while to enjoy it.

Really? I am not sure i know what are you talking about :) I leave in a city and i go out a lot. If you are talking about warehouse party with 18 and over, i am so sorry but not my scene, plus there are no popular DJs here anyway, don't even come here, because there are no places for that, well maybe electric factory and TLC theater, but all other places are small and how fun is for a popular DJ to play for max 200 - come on.

And don't compare NYC with Philly, we are like 10 years away from the nightlife they have there and other places also. It's a shame we don't progress in music and nightlife here. I have to drive hours away from my home to listen world known DJ, that's my point.

I agree we don't have enough clubs for bigger parties. Voyeur is the biggest at the moment. I think Shampoo is still around, but haven't heard from them lately.

I hate it when a big name gets booked at the TLA or Electric Factory. Those places are better suited for a rock show, than a club DJ.

When a big name comes to Philly and spins at a small venue, it's great though. Did you ever see Sean Tyas & Simon Patterson at their Thanksgiving Eve Triada parties? And when Josh Wink comes to town, he spins at Inciting HQ, which is a small warehouse space. And I've seen Mathias Aguayo & Gui Boratto spin at parties in Philly with a small crowd of maybe 100.

How is it great, when the place is packed? That's exactly why i like bigger places, more people, different crowd all the time - just basically verity. And yes i was at Triada, with 50 people there, not fun at all sorry - music was great. I prefer to drive to DC or NYC where the vibe of the night can be remembered.....
