Bar Soap vs. Shower Gel (pg. 3)

Soap? No.
I believe in taking care of myself and in a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes, while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. |

I use Dove cream bar soap and it doesn't seem to dry out my skin. However, I only use it on my arm pits and feet. The rest of my body I just rinse down with the shampoo. I have excellent skin... no break outs and except for in the winter, it is usually smooth.
As for bacteria on the soap... I always rinse the soap out before I use it, and I can't imagine it is any worse than a loofah (which I know for a fact collects bacteria and often starts to form mold unless thoroughly dried).
I only use shower gel at the gym because I don't want to set the bar soap down anywhere in the gym showers, and I would be mortified if I dropped it. Yuck. With that being said, I usually towel dry my loofah thingy and make sure its super dry before I put it back in my locker. |

And then I murder a prostitute with a chainsaw. |

we are on the same page. I only use the soap on le groin and el pit. If I'm sweaty from the gym then maybe more but for every day don't feel the need to scrub the entire body, take quick showers, and not super hot water temp, as a consequence my skin doesn't get dry. |

I use shower gel. Soap just didn't do it for me and always left a residual smell. After 8 hours mixed with sweat, not ideal.
ty deodorant doesn't help either. I'm using this roll on now from The Body Shop that has to be mans greatest invention ever. I can sweat like a pig for the entire day and not only do I not stink later on but I actually still smell good. It's ing awesome!
Every single other deodorant I've tried has been total and utter rubbish. |
