Is it really an Italian meal? If so, where is it traditional? Have you ever eaten it?

My pet guido says that its call Frittata.

(She can't actually cook it... )

It's a common thing here in France (due to the proximity of Italy I think).
When you have some pasta left from past dinner, let them brown without butter/olive oil only 2 minutes, add 2/3 eggs with a bit of crème fraîche. Enjoy.

I'm somewhat reluctant to accept its Frittata identity because it seems you can stuff pretty much anything in there. But, since pasta is one of the things stuffable in a frittata then, well, maybe it is a pasta Frittata

Cook pasta. Break eggs in a bowl. Put pasta in the bowl. Stir. Lay it on the fry pan. Turn it over.

Done :conf:

Bingo. Frittata is simply one way italians use up leftovers, pasta included.

Many Ethiopian Jews like my own family migrated there years ago. That's why Italians are also known as cheap back stabbin niggaz.

I usually throw some sausage or haggis in with it....makes it a perfect Scottish Dish.

Well its the perfect use for left over pasta, 'cause its just not the same after a night in the fridge and a little heavy by itself for breakfast.

Can't cook.
There's no simpler way of saying it, I know because I've tried. I'll ask her mum if she's got any decent recipes for it and post it here, going over on the weekend.
