EDIT: ! Goddamn it!!
gazelles
ever walk into a public bathroom stall, lock the door behind you, then piss? if someone with a herpes outbreak touched that lock after pissing in the past 20 min (room temp on solid metal surface), there's a chance you contracted it.

ever walk barefoot on the beach and cut your foot on a shell, nick your calf on the edge of something, or get a papercut with a publicly used piece of paper? if someone else did the same thing on the same item in the last 10 min and there is a 1/4 mL of blood on it, you can contract AIDS! and ever shake someone's hand with a papercut/hangnail? blood to blood contact if he/she has one too.

not to mention the trace amounts of known carcinogens that frequent many countertops, money, doorhandles that are not removed with a standard antibiotic wipedown!

so basically, this isn't that bad in comparison WHOO YEAH

Take away subsidies and things would get more expensive that weren't healthy.

if you have a fat tax of 5% you'd increase revenue even more, and could possibly deter people from eating fast food, and in a long stretch reduce obiesity...even if by a little.

If they put that money back into making healthier foods like fruits and vegetables more affordable, then I would be all for it. Make the unhealthy cost more and the healthier stuff more accessible. That's the way it should have always been.

I still think we need to tax fast food. can you imagine how much revenue would be gained if we put a 1% federal tax on fast food.

I agree. This will prevent my potentially fat ass from getting potentially fat, and I get to save $$ by not buying fast food.

I think that would be great!

Why do I, a 120 pound woman, pay the same amount as a 400 pound man? AND why am I limited to the same amount of weight in my baggage as him? That's lame.

They would never do it, but I think it would be great.

I once found a piece of KFC's popcorn chicken in the footwell of my car. It was at least a month old and was covered in dirt. I ate it.

I hate articles like this. ing alarmism at it's best. To all you verminophobes, you know how many germs we come in contact with on a daily basis? We have an immune system for a reason. Wash your hands now and than (not too much) and you'll be fine ffs. In fact, get dirty every now and then and maybe your piss poor immune systems can get an update.

This. Germphobic people annoy the out of me. It's theorised that allergies develop due to insufficient exposure to pathogens at a young age. Germs are good for you in the right amount.
