Because the crowd he attracts nowadays (and his target audience) wants to hear the overplayed tracks they can relate to and sing along with. |

Its basically because he has to. He has no choice on his tour gigs because most of the more commercial crowd that have paid their cash expect big and known anthems from Armin. True he should push new stuff a bit more live. But I can understand the situation he is in.
Thing about his Ibiza residency is that he does tend to play a lot more trancey and less cheesy which is why its the best place to see him now. The live recordings from Armada are usually always brilliant. But he will plug his own stuff no matter what cuz it gets a big reaction from fan boys. |
