Up until that point I had mainly listened to trance and was getting a bit bored of partying, but after that night it completely changed my musical tastes, the types of parties I like to go to, and ignited a passion for music and partying that still exists today.

Best night ever! Depending upon the date...this is a high possibility!

Not overhyping at all. The first time I saw him at Bal en Blanc (the first time he came, not 2006 or whatever) completely changed everything about how I interpreted dance music, what I heard, what I chose to seek out, how I danced, everything. A friend of mine was trying to get me to get into his GU Athens and I didn't like it before that night, but after seeing him live, it became my favorite mix ever for quite a while. The first time I saw him at Stereo was one of my favorite nights out ever, hands down. He played everything.
I'm cautiously optimistic for his return to Stereo though. His style has changed a lot (as it should), and I'm not quite as into him as I used to be. Last time he came tix were $100, and I heard very iffy reviews from nearly everyone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and will probably make the effort to go though. I want to get that feeling back, the one only he was ever able to push through a speaker stack.

Here's a little snippet of his set at Stereo in '03, just about an hour. Don't ask how I got it ;)
Anyone who wants to experience a true journey of music should go to this party.
Danny Tenaglia's natural environment is an afterhours club with an open ended closing time.

marathon/afterhours sets are the way to go when it comes to seeing dt
altho i have a feeling it might be during labor day weekend, cause as of now hes not booked to play at electric zoo in nyc so he might be up there instead
if its not that weekend iam deff gonna try and make it up there for this, i never been to stereo but i heard soooo many goood things and a marathon set from the king himself would be perfect first time to experience it

I hear you guys about the true afterhours experience being a rare thing. There's something about being able to be taken on a journey musically throughout the night, morning and afternoon. My biggest regrets partywise was missing Danny Tenaglia at Stereo in late 2007 (I was in Montreal the night before for Chus and Ceballos). Don't know why I didn't go to that party.
Anyway, David and Danny are two icons I have missed at Stereo. Don't think I'll ever see David there, but at least I can cross Danny off the list...

May try to make it out for this one. I was craving a Danny T marathon last time he was at Guv and was somewhat disappointed (not that he was bad, I really enjoyed parts of his set, but I was craving the long haul!!). MMMMmmmmmm definitely could use a return to Stereo since I'm missing Lawler there!!

Danny's website says July 23 and July 24 - no idea what that means.
