oh im not going to tunisia anymore, im going to rhodes in greece :wtf:
Sushipunk
Greece sounds better to me.
Moongoose
Ah good, greece needs every single cent they can get their hands on.

Nothing really to do as a turist in tunisia except swim and get ridiculously wasted on surprisingly reasonably priced booze. My parents go every year, they start drinking the moment they get off the plane and are still drunk when i pick them up from the airport a few weeks later.

I have been in Tunisia 5 times as my father was born there (previous French colony, etc.)

can you be drunken in public? :wtf: whats the deal with religion? are there gunna be terrorists shooting at each other while im looking at shiny objects in the market with my estranged better half?

Tunisia is a more or less soft dictatorship, so don't expect to be allowed to be drunk in public in downtown. In your hostels or in places packed with other tourists it will be ok.

also, do i need to be pre-drugged up with vaccinations prior to departure of my home-lands? dont they get yellow fever or something over there? so i'll end up looking like very jaundice :toocool:

No yellow fever, but ask your doctor for the basic vaccinations. Also, drink bottled water if you don't want to spend your days with the TD.

also, tunisia isnt part of the eu so whats the deal with the monies? is it cheap or am i going to have to bust a nut for a nice dinner out there?

Yeah, it's way cheaper than good ol' western countries, but a bit more expensive than China or India for instance.
Renzo
Even James Earl Jones is surprised Tunisia is so beautiful.

Sushipunk
I should not be allowed near the internet when I'm that drunk :stongue:

I was haphazardly listening to the news today and apparently there is a new wave of riots all over Tunisia because everyone there now ing hates the president's gold-digger wife and they are firebombing .

I have several friends that are in Tunisia right now, an I can safely say that the current events against Ben Ali's family cannot be considered as riots, this kind of aftermath is "normal" after a dictatorship falls.
