Hi there, my forum name is Mahon but my production name is Lawaai. I am a new techno producer (not really sure if I can call myself a producer quite yet though). I just started about 3 months ago and am looking for criticism. I have had help from some friends, and I just released my first song, its nothing special but it would be great if you could check it out.

I make trance and hardstyle mainly. I live in the US but feel like i belong in northern Europe, lol. I like almost all kinds of techno and most things like techno, except happy hardcore, I cant stand that stuff. So trance, hardstyle, dubstep, DNB, i like all of em.
I make my music with a program called FL (Fruity Loops) Studio, the same program Basshunter uses.
I just go by Lawaai (Dutch for "noise") for now, but once I get my turntable setup completed, will go by DJ Lawaai.

At 1:42, this should be kickin' out a sick groove.
The synth stab chords have to go as in leave.
Turning up the volume on the kick, doesn't work for this tune.
Snare attack builds sounds okay but, musically, it's out of place.
The loopitus is killing this tune.
Needs hi-hats.
I'm killing this tune.
Nice first try. Better than my first stuff? By a long shot. Better than anyone else I've critiqued, tonight? Not by a long shot.

| No flow to this at all... What's up with the random distorted kickdrum? Where's the drive? Listen to some hardstyle, and then listen to this. |
