Hey guys, it's been awhile. Been spending my time wrapping my head around Cubase 5. It's pretty awshum. Here's my attempt at producing something on it. (Unmastered... Also, the piano stuff was improvised on my Yamaha KX61 rather than put in click-style)
I'll also admit I'm not the best arranger in the world...I tried to take an ebb/flow approach rather than Build/breakdown. (So no crashes)
The music bed, itself, is nearly flawless - musically, at least. I wouldn't change a thing, in that regard. I also love the sound palate.
The overall mix was a little bumpy and a little muffled. The high-hats seem to fluctuate in their volume a little much.
Take another or more stabs at that piano part. I like the concept of it but it's a little cliche' in its current form and it doesn't really interact with the music bed the way I wanted it to. It could use some finesse, like introducing a bit of micro-melody 16/32nd note stunted runs, every now and then.
