+1 on tito's being overrated. I'd heard soo much about the place and it just didn't do anything for me at all. |

| as for good mexican food - for someone who's just visiting, i suppose you might find yourself close to LAX. literally a block from the airport - and my favorite places to get a meal before hopping on a plane - are paco's (great margaritas) and an el tarasco (cheap food, cheap beer) |

Not sure if you're asking about tourism stuff, but I highly recommend the Watts Towers. Take the tour, just the story of the man who built it is interesting, and they look very cool.

not sure if this might be of interest but i love food carts sooo...

i heard from quite a few LA locals that this food truck is AMAZING ( that is, if u like Korean bbq, and if u like Mexican food.). hehe. thing is tho you need to catch one at the right time.
i am soo going hunting for this the next time I hit up LA, lmao.

You can add the KogiBBQ truck on Twitter and it announces where it will be located each day. Then just google directions to the truck :)
Also, I agree the Santa Monica pier is worth checking out, I went there last time I was there, had dinner and watched the sunset...it was pretty epic haha. |
