Honestly, my bf and I have played even the smaller lottos that only pay out a few hundred thousand, maybe 1 mil at most in hopes of having better chances with those.

I personally don't need much, just to live debt free and take some time off for awhile would be nice :)

funny story..I know this family that won two big jackpots twice and well let's just say they've got nothing to show for it right now...how hard is it to put a million away and buy into a McDonald or timmy?

LOL!

PURE INSANITY!!!

How could you not have ANYTHING to show for it?? I would totally put away a mil and just keep it aside if I won that big. There are also so many things you can invest in like McD's or Tim's or anything really.

I really don't know..It gives me pain every time I see them! lol

Those two choices were the most obvious ones for me..The only thing I can think of is that maybe the Son frikin' gambled it all away in 5 years...It was something around 7/8 million in total too

Thats messed up.

Whatever they won... they should have invested most of it and lived off part of what they kept for them self.

People who win big, need to learn how to park their money.

Honestly if someone wins like $10 million... Park the $9 million (gold/silver, stocks and investment properties that can also be used as a place to travel) and live off the $1 million. Which is possible. Depending on the life style they want to live. They can blow the money in a day or in 20 years.

It would have been insane if it was actually $95 million in one draw

Canada's version of Mega Millions in the US.

Honestly the government should start a new lottery. Trying to win $1 billion :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:

A lot of people who win buy stupid things like couple million dollar houses and supercars and dont think about the the upkeep and property tax on these things is ridiculous.

i.e "My first service (12 month or 5k) for my 2007 F430 Ferrari (essentially an oil and filter change and a fluids check cost $1,700.00 "
