Plastic Love is a project my friend Jimmy Maheras and I came up with some months back. We were tired of seeing local DJs that really didn't give a and generally not contributing anything to our little scene here in LA, still getting gigs. We decided to do something about that and came up with our Plastic Love brand. Basically what we're doing is attempting to bring lesser known DJs to a bigger club, both locals and guests from wherever we can afford :p
Our first night went pretty well, we brought Brennan Green in from New York and he was absolutely stellar. Since then we've actually had a nice flow of gigs and a bunch of ideas that we're going to try to employ going forward.
This podcast is going to be our attempt at a monthly mix series from either one of us, both of us, or a combination of that and a guest mix (most likely someone we're going to be bringing at our next show). This month, however, I asked Tony (aka uncle montana aka uncle dubs aka dubsidesoulsister) to give us a mix doing what he does best. Nice little turnout if I do say so myself :D
