It's time for me to do an updgrade. The battery life on my M-Audio Microtrack is so drained, I need to have it plugged in through an adapter, and that alone is driving me mad.

So I have a question- have any of you used either unit below? The 2nd generation Microtrack looks promising, but the Edirol is $80 more. If $80 = $80 in extra quality then it's a no brainer. Never heard of Tascam before either. Help!

Any feedback is appreciated!

Tascam are a solid brand, they've been doing quality pro studio gear for decades.

I'm afraid I haven't got any experience using any of those particular bits of kit, but I just thought I'd reassure you that if you decided to go Tascam I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.
