If you’re playing it in iTunes, it’s easy to rip it in individual tracks and just set it as Gapless.. I love that. |

I’m aware of that. :stongue: Just offering possible alternatives.
Speaking of alternatives, perhaps Handbrake might be a good option. |

Jay, mind if I ask, why are you trying to join separated tracks? Reason I ask is it just seems odd. I've always wanted to split things like sets and mix cd's that people have given me...
I'm not too familiar with handbrake, having used it only a few times for another purpose, but perhaps give it a try? |

Likewise. Waveburner is my go-to app for all that jazz now. I can see the reasoning behind continuous mixes though, it’s one file to store / share as opposed to a bunch of different ones. |

ive always liked mixes as one big track. if i need to burn then i use a cuesheet. guess im just too accustomed to scene releases of mix cds. |

Very few media players handle gapless tracks and mixes like iTunes does so I can’t blame you or anyone else for just erring on the side of caution and sticking with continuous mixes. |

the main problem for me is burning split mixes. even if i set the gap to 00:00 sometimes you still hear that little nanosecond gap/skip sound. burning one single mp3 while using a cuesheet to split tracks while writing has never given me any problems. |

Depending on the software, it can still introduce small noise gaps.. It's a pain in the ass, I know. I haven't burned a compilation since 2004(3?) - it's been all digital media since then so this has well and truly been a non-issue on my side.
Part of my reason to start using Waveburner for more than just mastering was because the software I would use to split would create these gaps or skips due to poor coding / encoding / whatever. I just split up the Diggers EM and am absolutely f*cking loving hearing it sans hiccups. Whee! |
