Chemical Brothers' tracks sound so good

I've always admired the chemical brothers for how well they blend different layers of synths and drums together to build this wall of sound that sounds so big.

My question is does anyone have any tips or tricks to do this?

Swoon for example has so many different elements to it when you listen closely but yet all the different sounds work for each other.

Overdrive, distortion and bitcrushers. The Chemical Brothers champion a very lo-fi sound. They also use a LOT of vintage and newer analog, and they are big fans of running synths through crazy hardware effect chains, such as guitar pedals. You can plainly hear that in most of their music. I know that they have a Buchla modular that's featured prominently on their most recent album.

Sounds like panning and every sound having it's own space frequency wise. Right?
