for sure, but neither of those really apply to me; no relatives i care about and my friends never stay away long enough to really warrant me stalking them online. i dont really need an internet alert every time somebody's new child rolls in their own . if the is that memorable and newsworthy, you can attach a pic to an email or send me a text.
i think i'll succumb eventually though. but im holding out til its actually required. i waste enough time online already. |

| Of course they do. Any national security agency that doesn't monitor social websites is a agency. It's got little to do with controlling people like some of you morons think and more to do with security. |

| Oh, I'm not saying it's all Orwellian Nightmare (TM) type . Just saying they do in fact keep tabs on some people via teh Webz. |

On facebook for events and keeping up with long distance family/friends. Also on twitter for the news.
If you deleted your facebook account due to privacy, what the where you putting on your profile that you did not want people to see? |

There were other reasons, too. I was getting little use out of it. The people I really wanted to be in contact with, I already communicated with through other means. It also irked me a little that I never had any fun photos like other people, and almost no one wrote anything to me. Vanity!

| I probably still would not be on Facebook today if it weren't for my half sister - whom I found and got in contact with through the site. |

| I have only a facebook profile and I hate that thing. Unfortunately, I need that profile to keep in touch with some relatives who are in USA and also some business contacts. Apart from that, I hate it because, first, there is too much crap information like who has found a pink cow in his/her farm or needs some help in a mafia war, and, second, it turns too much into a gossip place and sometimes I can't resist (which I hate about myself) to look someones profile and (mostly) her activity. |
