And shame about Haase, really. |
He lost like he should have, Rafa is going to make the final. |

Well yeah, he won those two sets mainly because of his impeccable serving, but since he's Dutch, I would've liked seeing him beat Nadal. Especially Nadal, with his annoying manners. I know, he is an astonishingly great tennis player and I like watching him play rallies, but I'm getting sick of all the shorts pulling, hair fashioning and ball bouncing. |

^he might have weird mannerisms but that's just how he rolls. i personally enjoy his tennis and the although i find the shorts and ball bouncing somewhat annoying it takes up a small fraction of time when looking at the overall match and they don't take away from the tennis as much as some of the ladies' grunts.
on the subject of the ladies, what the i go to la for a couple days and now there are 3 virtual nobodys in the semis. combined they've made 1 semi-final appearance in a major and the woman who hasn't been past the 2nd round of a major takes out venus...this is craziness.
for the gentlemen, what did roddick do to lose to lu? didn't watch but very disappointing. in fact the top half of the draw doesn't excite me too much, can't wait to see what happens on the bottom. although i love nadal not sure how he'll fair against soderling, rafa hasn't been consistent. tsonga-murray should be just as fun to watch. |

was going to await your usual "disappointed in venus' shortcomings" rant. :p
looking at the women's semifinals draw, and doesn't look too promising for something competitive with both venus and clijsters out. i am banking on serena bulldozing her competition, and getting another grand slam trophy.
as for the men's side, Lu held ground against Roddick very well, and had the upper hand the last couple of games to upset Roddick. congratulations to Lu. the bottom half men's draw looks real interesting tomorrow with tsonga-murray and soderling-nadal. those look to be definite good matches. i don't know how Lu is going to fare against Djokovic, especially since Djokovic has been on a good roll as of late. i don't see Federer having any problems against Berdych. Berdych gave Federer a surprise in last year's Austrailian, but that's nothing to really analyze. :p |

it happens all the time, she knows how to win and is very talented, venus has no business losing when it matters so often. |

| federer down 2 sets to 1 and a break. very surprised by berdych's aggressiveness. |

Not craziness if you watched the match. Pironkova completely blew away Venus in all aspects of the game. And btw thank god a few women managed to reach semis, these creatures like Venus are anything but a woman. |
