They already took the melody, the dynamics and all the synth sounds besides the supersaw...the bass is next.

Shouldn't that be sidechained?
As far as bass in trance goes, I'd love to hear more trance producers start thinking more like bass players and add a little more groove and harmnonic variation to their bass lines. Songs get a lot more interesting IMO when the bass plays something other than the root note in a repeating rhythm ad nauseum. I've been a bassist for most of my life, and even I'm guilty of falling into the "root-note-only" trap when it comes to bass parts in trance tracks. House has much more interesting bass lines IMO, but even house seems to be (d)evolving toward more static bass lines (in my admittedly limited view, that is).

You have to admit, the drone of pink noise does put you into a trance.

When bass isn't following the root key is amazing, some chord progressions are master pieces, the melody can be a bunch of crap but when you get involved in that pattern... you love it.

u missed my point exactly. by removing the bass u get white noise and u can raise the volume even a little more.

Listen to more disco/funk/house IMO. Prog might be going that way but theres a lot of funky tech house coming out now that has awesome bass samples.

Trance has rules we must abide by. Or else, certain doom.

I bet it's probably just to make trance appealing to the commercial.
