violins with synths??

can anyone guide me to the rough wave shapes....filters i would need to design a violin sound... i am only getting into sound design and alittle info or links would be amazing

i would look for presets and tweak from there. its unbelievable tough to reproduce acoustic instruments with a synth. trumpets might be the easiest ones using one single saw and some filtering connected to env.

Saw wave, long attack, 4 pole filter, long release, lots of reverb, some detune. Thats for a generic string ensemble. Its very much harder to make a solo violin sound IMO.

I would add some vibrato as well to the above
