Thats because you watched Hungarian or Monaco GP(or other boring tracks where NOTHING ever happens). Those races exist because of Bernie.
But you probably just dont have a connection with this kind of sports, it takes a little different approach then lets say soccer. I think soccer is boring, because there are only 1-2 actions per game. But I know it's not all about goals, you should know it's not all about crashes or badass moves either. For me it's just the atmosphere.

Yes I imagine stood behind a wall of ing tires then blinking and missing a car go past at 250mph every 5 minutes for a few hours is next level atmosphere.
