My friend has an evo, he's swapped it out twice already. One major reason was that the charge slot heats up and the glass pulls away from the casing. I've also heard of poor battery life but that should be expected with the new touch screen multimedia devices that come into the market, it'll need cycle time for the battery life to come up. |

I use it personally to manage a lot of my communication outlets, i do not have a high need for multimedia device like what an iphone does flawlessly.
So i have some media, mp3s, take pictures and upload them to facebook, have 3 different email accounts, i manage my client list and expenses on it, use the gps features as well as normal mapping software and to find locations of where I need to go.
iphone is a bit more visually stimulating but I don't need it to look pretty, just be more organized with how i communicate externally. Feel as if the iphone doesn't do this for me but does offer me a wide range of app-influenced entertainment as opposed to my bb which i keep strictly for communication.
it travels with me well and a lot of my business contacts are on blackberry messenger. |

| Just got my IP4 delivered today. I haven't seen the Evo in person, but man, the "retina display" is the real deal. Major upgrade over the previous 3GS screen. |

actually it is for work and not personal. apparently my new employer will let me chooose whether i get the blackberry or the iphone. that's the bay area for you, i guess. |
