Has anyone came across any presets or soundbanks out there now which at least are current sounding as a lot of presets i find sound dated and don't replicate whats being played right now.

Im thinking in terms of artists like tyas, 3rd moon, paul webster, paul miller etc

I know 7skies has a sylenth bank and i like the demo but i would be more intrsted in the tyas type sound. Ive came close with V-Station and i know he uses a Virus and ES2 but i dont have those options.

Thanks.

To be fair to the OP I have pondered why so many presets sound like e. I just got DCAM synthsquad too and 95% of the sounds are not outstanding - maybe that's just the way things are. Of course I make my own but a good selection of fast food ready to go sonix would be such a nice change for once.

Why doesn't vengeance make thier kicks the ones we want to use by default - I've lost count of the times people say you need to layer 3 of them to get the right sound.

Even using minimal drums by wave alchemy - always they sound wrong with wayyy too much mid and not enough punch and prescence in the initial transient compared to new quality tracks being released.

Layering is often the answer but just as often not - you can make a good current sound using one synth so I don't know why synths come mainly with dead goat sounds given that any synth is capable of more?
Perhaps thee answer is that the manufacturers want to provide a full pallet of sounds including many basic sounding thangs.

i'm a bit of a tyas fan boy to he uses a key synth in all of his work manly virus in this case and pulls on his other synths to pad things out -layering-.

so if you're using logic then the es2 will be a great tool to work with oh and sidechain to.

best thing is to go and check out his tutorials on youtube

This is kind of what i was getting at. Not everyone wants to fiddle around with synths and layers, they just want instant sounds that can be used to keep the creative flow rolling when making music.

I for one hate playing the keyboard when its a dull sounding preset and i dont always have a lead sound in mind so all i want is an instant 2010 preset that i can jam with instantly within 30 seconds of firing up my DAW when i have the melody in mind.

If that makes sense, if anyone cane recommend current soundbanks that have that instant lead appeal that would be great.
