Yeah, I'm curious about that too. I don't have white pants. Glad to see Armin back. One of my favorites, but got to say I'm not a fan of packed crowds. In response to the comment on price, 30 is a lot to pay for a dj imo. Honestly, I've always enjoyed the 15 dollar shows better.

Well, I don't understand it either. I know there are politics involved and money too that makes weekends hard to get. I know a lot of people have morning jobs during the week, but I guess as long as enough people are coming out anyways, things won't change. Maybe if everyone that had to work early didn't show up, they may reconsider.

Weekend parties cost more, you want the number 1 DJ in the world on a weekend but then when you see a price of $30 for what is quite honestly one of the smaller clubs Armin plays at and you complain. Small club most of the time = more price per person for big DJ's but in this case Armin on a Friday $30 is cheap when compared to the rest of the world. Of course there is club/promoter politics behind it but think about your own politics behind it too. I do not know your work schedule but think about the majority. Would you much rather pay $20 to see Armin on a weekday where you have to work the next day or take off and lose a lot of money from a lost days wage..... or pay $30 to see him on a Friday night and have all your money from work and not have to worry about requesting off, calling out sick or etc. The indirect cost of going to a weekday party is usually much more. You have to think outside the upfront monetary box.

I think it makes sense and although I really do not care for Armin one bit I will be there with bells on because i feel fortunate that I can view Armin on a Friday night only a 4 hour drive away from me.

you're going to drive 4 hours and pay $30 to see a dj you care nothing about?

yep....... why, it will still be fun due to 1500 people (educated in EDM or not) going nuts for Armin. Sometimes the party is not about the DJ but rather the fun you can have at "the party"

A lot of people still like Armin and he will still drop a good toon from time to time.

Armin in Chicago sold out for tonight and ticket prices started at $40 for a venue that holds more people

Although it might not seem apparent on this messageboard, I have many friends in Atlanta who would probably make their way out to this for similar reasons I would go so it will also be a social outing.

Now enough of this crap, its a Friday dress in all White Armin Van Buuren party in which ticket prices start at $30 and go up from there and it will sell out, you can either be there or not :)

I'm not sure why you quoted me, but props for remembering a conversation from so long ago. I really wasn't complaining. I was just making the statement that in my experience the cheaper, less crowded events have been better. Also, I personally have no problem with weekday parties. I actually enjoy them more because weekend crowds tend to be more crowded and rowdy and right now, I don't have an early job that hinders me. I understand why some people want weekend parties though and seeing Armin on a Friday would be cool. I was just saying, in my opinion, I have more fun at a cheaper, less crowded event, so to me, 30 dollars is pricey. If I have it, I will gladly go to this.

i'm not wondering why liquified is charging so much, i'm wondering why armin is. a ticket price at that level puts the set fee pretty high.

yeah, i understand top dj in the world.

hellosam
hell yeah ill add this to my sept itinerary!

People will bitch either on weekday or weekend cuz it's too much...

Seriously, $30 bucks for your "#1" DJ on a Friday is not bad at all. I pay the same price for Armin @ NYC on a friday night small venue 8 years ago and he wasn't even that well known back then....

You just can't satisfy everyone in the world....
