and remixes of groovy minimal tech-house on labels ranging
from Cadenza to Get Physical to SF's own Mothership. Don't

Guido Schneider has been producing electronic music for more than 10 years now. Strongly influenced by EBM he started his first project in 1991 with a friend; his first records released on SPV._
Changes marked the beginning of the new millennium: Guido closed down his label Neue Welten and met vocalist Florian Schirmacher. After their first joint studio session it became obvious that Guido‘s production and Florian‘s vocal skills would complement each other perfectly, and together they founded the project Glowing Glisses, under whose pseudonym they released 3 singles and the album 'Silver Surfer' on Poker Flat._
In 2002 Guido and Glowing Glisses joined Steve Bug, the Märtini Brös and Martin Landsky on the Poker Flat World Tour. Back in Germany, highly inspired, Guido began focusing on his solo project. His first Poker Flat single "Triple Bolted" (pfr35) and the track "Moved" showed Guido’s huge potential. Two 12"s followed in 2004: "Unterwegs mit Guido Schneider" (pfr47) and 'Oh My Buffer' (pfr53). These two 12 inches finally put Guido on the map of internationally acclaimed producers._
Guido was also Steve Bug‘s first choice to remix his unstoppable classic 'Loverboy' for Poker Flat‘s 50th anniversary release. In 2005 Guido contributed the exclusive track "Las Cuerdas de Las Canarias'" to the "Poker Flat Volume Four" album, alongside artists such as Steve Bug, Donnacha Costello, Argy and Jeff Samuel.
Recently, Gudio joined forces with his old friend Sammy Dee (Pantytec) again, with whom he had worked years ago as Schneider & Radecki. The result of this reunion was the Poker Flat 12" "Styleways" (pfr63), which also was licensed to Richie Hawtin’s "DE9: Transitions" album.
As a DJ and producer of international demand, Guido Schneider currently tours top clubs around the world. The new album "Focus On: Guido Schneider" is the next milestone in Guido’s carreer. It includes some of his best released tracks and mixes as well as some brand new songs and gives an excting overview of his capabilities.

Although the mountain peaks of Bern, Switzerland hold little resemblance to the industrial skylines of Midwestern America, it was among these surroundings that Sam Geiser became inspired to keep the legacy of Chicago house and Detroit techno alive. Operating under his moniker Deetron since the early nineties, he has dedicated most of his life to making and playing out dance music in its truest form. His unique production style – a melodic, housey take on Detroit techno – has captured the hearts of many around the globe. Furthermore, his immaculate mixing skills and superb choice of records have kept him internationally in demand as a respected DJ for well over a decade. _
Inspired by anything from seventies soul and New York disco to Chicago house and Detroit techno, Deetron started collecting music and DJing in the early nineties. He received his first residency at Zürich’s legendary Trax club in 1995. Here Deetron quickly learned the _DJ trade and became known as one of the most gifted and beloved jocks of Switzerland. A few years later, he took his first steps into productions. Releasing on Phont Music made him known across the border, in places as far away as Japan. But it was ‘Dolls For A Diva’ (2001) – his first release on Music Man – and his widely acclaimed ‘Deetron In The Mix’ compilation (2002), that truly kick-started his international DJ career. __

Meanwhile, an impressive collection of releases and remixes has appeared on labels like Music Man, 100% Pure, Strictly Rhythm and Cocoon – all of them characterized by the same unique combination of club and listening elements. Walking the fine line between the soulful and the industrial, Deetron appeals to techno freaks as well as house lovers. His productions carry a certain timeless quality that is rare in today’s volatile electronic music scene. Tracks like ‘Emphasis’ (2001) have stood the test of time, and most likely his more recent hits like ‘I Cling’ (2007) and ‘Let’s Get Over It’ (2008) will, too. Even ‘Twisted’, his captivating debut album, still sounds as crisp today as it did three years ago. _
Furthermore, Deetron’s taste and technique make him stand out as an extraordinary jock. “My DJing has a strong technical element,” he states. “My aim is to go as close to remixing as possible with the means of turntables and CD players.” And anyone who has ever seen him twitch the knobs must agree he does a pretty good job at it. It all stems from Deetron’s extreme self criticism, which he also applies to himself when selecting tracks. With quality over quantity as a personal motto, he might not release a lot – but when he does, you know he means business._

2010 gave already birth to two amazing 12”: “Each Step” (ft Seth Troxler) on Circus Company & “Collide” on Green. _Both releases got major attention in press and went straight up in the charts (Resident Advisor, Beatport, …). _With remixes for DJ Hell, Steve Bug, Tony Lionni, Aril Brikha and Danny Howells, this is proving to be quite the productive year._

I had a blast here Sat night the little I was there.
Was Guido's set recorded? Because wow! Just F'ing wow!
This wasn't the typical club I would go to, but I was surprised on how dark the venue was and how CRACKING the party was. |
