My god, how good was Holden @ Supperclub last night?

I've had some great nights in my day, but sonically, that Holden set could possibly be one of the best I've ever heard live. This was my first time seeing him play and I doubt I'll ever miss one of his future gigs within a short flight of me -- I was that impressed.

I'm thinking about it. I'm jealous of you LA guys tonight. I wonder if anyone was recording? I'll be talking about this set for years. Wow -- the guy is a wizard.

I had a good time. I like his style a lot and he played some really really sick tracks. I liked the small crowd and the venue had a good feel to it, they just need a better sound system because it was kinda disappointing listening to these beautiful tracks on what sounded like some really loud cheap desktop speakers.

Oh yeah, him playing this Solvent/Vector Lovers track pitched up to the mid 120's was pretty whack. Almost sounded like drumnbass.

Otherwise his track selection was great.

Usually when you first see a DJ that was the best he'll ever be, e.g. Armin, Schulz, PvD, etc but Holden just keeps getting better! :eyespop: :eyes: I was such a tully head on Friday when I was trying to tell him that it felt his transitioning so much more faster now with Traktor and his custom midi controller. But it came out all wrong and had a good laugh hahaha

Had fingers crossed on Funktion One like for Nick Warren. Sucks but its better than no Holden. I'll disagree with Loss of Words then again I like a bit of drum n bass though it wasnt that much. It def sounded even more beautiful at King King and their extra kick of bass.

Ugh its a shame some people did not come out cause it was at supperclub. As much as I hate certain venues myself, its never stopped me from seeing a headliner I wanted to see.

lol i just remembered a friend who works for a pretty large SF booking agency that she has never been star strucked til this night when meeting holden :haha:

wish it got recorded too though dont think holden would of allowed it. he disconnected the recorder at incognito and i dont blame him. he has some really good tracks in collection that have yet to be ID'd :whip:
