Migrashun is heading back to Pour’s backyard beer garden this summer for another day of debauchery! In 2009, they hosted two very entertaining events at the same location. While the talent direction of last year’s events stayed local, this year they have cheery picked great talent from some of our neighboring cities.
Closing out the event will be Dan Bain, a Paxahau resident DJ who just performed an extremely memorable set at this year’s Movement festival! Also performing is Dela, the Milwaukee mad man from Projekt MKE, Mike Mack from Entrente, Araon Ryan from Collusion/TCR and Mathias Matthew of Migrashun.
Please note that Pour is the same venue as last year (La Taberna Tapatia). The venue has been remolded inside and out. As heavenly as the idea of beer gardens sounds, so few places get it right. Pour took the garden concept up a notch with moody lighting, cozy seating, flat screens and a thought-out menu of affordable fares.

Inspired by Detroit techno parties of the late nineties, Dan Bain began DJ’ing in late 1999. An obsession with a myriad of electronic music subgenres has made it difficult to peg him down to one style. Since his early days he was never buying one type of music; his selections ranged from West Coast house to Swedish techno.
Depending on the venue and the mood, Dan’s sets can range from ambient and downtempo to chunky house or aggressive techno.
In 2001 Dan and a small group of friends created Flynote Productions and over the span of 5 years he played a key role in many memorable events and debuted artists like DJ Three, Chloe Harris, Habersham and Avex Axiom to Detroit.
In 2006 Dan decided to volunteer for the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit, which served as his introduction to Paxahau; the events producer. Impressed by his dedication, Paxahau brought Dan into their closely knit group and eventually nominated him as a resident DJ.
Dan has shared the stage with a broad range of talented artists including Alex Under, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Magda, Sammy Dee, Soul Clap, Terry Mullan, Woody McBride, DJ Dan, Hernan Cattaneo and Mike Dearborn.

Having been intrinsic in dance music culture since the early-nineties dela has always been on the cutting-edge of what makes people hit the floor. Early influences in the sounds of Detroit, Chicago, and Berlin have paved a way for a passionate focus on innovation and future-forwardness.
Today, as a promoter/dj with Milwaukee's premier 'projekt' collective he is dedicated to be on the forefront of the modern techno movement. His signature blend of minimal and avant-garde techno has graced dancefloors throughout the midwest in such legendary clubs as Chicago's 'Smartbar' and large outdoor gatherings like Minnesota's 'Accelerator'.
With his diverse appreciation for artists throughout the vast minimal sound spectrum his sets will undoubtedly suit their environments, spanning anything from a dark or melodic deepness to the jack and bounce of peak-hour minimal techno and tech-house. It is with this uniqueness that Dela brings you the sound of projekt... the sound of techno now.

Mathias Matthew has grown over the years to become one of the most technically skilled performers of this generation. Throughout the years he has gained experience working in production, promotion, and performance. Getting his start on the flyer team of Necto in Ann Arbor, Michigan paved the way for many things to come. Since then, we have seen Mathias perform at numerous venues in Detroit including: Bleu Room, The Works, Finite Gallery, DEMF 2004, State Theatre, Centre Street, and Oslo just to name a few. In addition to performing, Mathias also worked on numerous production projects including the likes of Departure (Works Monthly) and Brio. Working with Derek Fox, Brio produced the Drip events which brought a new unique spin to Detroit’s electronic community. Brio used blank canvas venues to emphasize the performers while complimenting the venue with minimal eccentric visuals.
After relocating to Chicago in the fall of 2008, Mathias has played at venues such as Vision, Tini Martini, Victor Hotel, Wax, Smart Bar and other hotspots. He has shared the decks with artists such as James Holden, Jake Fairley, Frankie Bones, John Digweed, DJ Three, John Acquaviva, Benny Benassi, Lucy, Luke Hess, Ryan Elliot, Paul Oakenfold, Kate Simko just to name a few. In 2008 and 2009 he worked as the Marketing Director of Volatl tm which has helped him gain knowledge and experience of the industry in all its facets. In addition, his participation in Just Quality Music’s “Weekly Record Check” has been an experience in its own right. Moving into 2009 we now see Mathias moving forward with his project labeled “Migrashun”. Over the past year Migrashun has became a force in the EDM scene in Chicago and shows no signs of slowing down. Mathias has now moved into incorporating Ableton and midi controllers into his live performances, playing what some might label a hybrid set of edits, tracks and samples in rapid rotation.

Coming from the Midwest, Mike has a strong appreciation for the foundations of house and techno music. He fell in love with house music while spending every Monday night at the infamous Boom Boom Room. His soulful passion for music and dancing compelled him to organize parties around Milwaukee and Chicago giving him avenues to explore and develop his tastes in electronic dance music. Now Mike continues to push the sound forward by keeping an open mind and an ear to the future all the while keeping classic material in his mixes.

Originating from Detroit and based in Chicago, Aron Ryan's passion for electronic music is molded by experimenting with new technologies that expand the limits in live performance, sound design, and audience interaction. Aron takes advantage of these technologies by dissecting and manipulating tracks through creative looping and FX combinations. His techniques step forward from the traditional DJ paradigm while remaining connected to its roots. Constructing, deconstructing and reconstructing a vast fusion of Techno sounds, Aron Ryan creates a dynamic sounds cape with depth and emotion.
