why not? They're 2 of the most high-profile names for it, along with Skream and Rusko and others, and both have had highly successful commercial releases. I just find Breakages' more to my personal taste, which was all I was stating in the thread in general.
That's my point. It's like you've only heard the big names, and if you decide which of those big names is your favourite, that's dubstep.

well, I admit that i'm a n00b in dubstep, and I like others like l-wiz but it's easy to go for the easily accessed stuff first & work deeper. I prefer more the 'half step' experimental drum & bass but find that generally dubstep tracks can work in a set of other stuff, whereas I find it hard to listen to a load of dubstep in a row. Either way, I don't think it was that bad of a comparison seeing as when I'm browsing albums in stores, they're the 2 main dubstep names I come up with.

It's one of those things now that there's a lot of amateurish wank sounding stuff, mainly stuff with 'wobble' in it which sounds silly and overused, but there's some stuff I do like....
slightly not-dubstep but reminds me of when garage was big in the UK back around the turn of the century -

I'm not sure where I'm at with Dubstep. I seemed to enjoy it well enough when I heard it out, but I can't seem to enjoy it just listening to it at home. Perhaps in time.

drewgragg
really talented guy, dig his music a lot
i agree though that his sound is a little one-dimensional, but he's truly created an instantly recognizable signature sound for himself which is a pretty big achievement in my eyes, perhaps greater than having a diverse sound. he'd be unstoppable if he could somehow reconcile these two qualities, but i'm sure he's working on it
i'll have to check out this breakage guy, i've seen his name thrown around here and there but haven't really taken the time to listen...
