When I first played the linkwood record at home I thought I had dust on the needle or that my needle was shot. Now that I'm listening to the MP3 that DOOMBOT posted I'm hearing the same static that I originally thought was due to my equipment. Even if I switch to earbuds I hear it.
On the handclap element, does anyone else notice a static or hiss that you would typically expect to hear from a tweeter that was blown? Is that intentional? I think it sounds poor

agreed!!
i bought this last week on juno and was dissapointed about the quality too.
the kick drum sounds distorted as well. not sure what happened but the mastering was not done well.
just my 2 cents
but in general..this guy is on a tear...love the original mix of paddlin and his new one Alex Agore - Man Down (Tornado Wallace Remix) which i heard on jimpster's recent freerange set. deep house at its best :)

relieved to know its not my setup that is flaking out on me.
In regards to the A1 Paddlin' I'm pretty sure I hear the girl's voice from First Choice - Double Cross in there. Not important but interesting trivia I guess.
