Recognized across the scene as one of the hottest break-through producers to emerge in 2010, 8 Sided Dice are proud to present this latest EP from Rich Jones. Now a veteran on the label with two previous releases behind him, it is not hard to see how his sounding fusion of retro and modern techno has grabbed the attention of Alan Fitzpatrick along with Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Josh Wink, Mark Broom and Cari Lekebusch.
Viable Second kicks off the EP with its rolling, mechanical groove and pin-sharp percussion laying the foundations for a series of long, subtle builds that create an intensity to contrast against the warm harmonic organ stabs.
Beasts Of Legend sees Rich push a more minimalist vibe with a stripped back wood-block groove and trippy effects creating a hypnotic and slightly left of centre backdrop against which flashes of percussion add the energy.
