DJ Champion has cancer

Quebec's DJ darling Maxime Morin has publicly revealed he has leukemia, a form of blood cancer.

Last month the 41-year old announced he was forced to cancel a series of upcoming concerts because of health issues.
He is reportedly receiving chemotherapy.
DJ Champion is a popular live performer who won Quebec's 2006 Félix Award for best show.
His 2005 breakout album Chill 'Em All sold more than 100,000 copies.

i hope he recovers completely.
« C’est une leucémie qui est traitable. C’est le type de cancer du sang le plus susceptible d’être traité », a indiqué l’ami de Maxime Morin, alias DJ Champion. Son équipe de gérance a par la suite émis un communiqué de presse.

This girl I knew a few years back had it, but not sure if she's still battling it or not. Seeing I haven't spoken to her in many years :( |

| The fact that its the most treatable kind of blood cancer is great for his moral. Just knowing and believing that the whole way through he will be ok. |

Read about it on Radio-Canada this week-end. Very sad news indeed, I really enjoy listening to Champion from time to time.
