New Production Resource

Hello TA Producers!
I've created a website called InsideMixes, to help people enhance their skills, as well as get help from experienced producers.
There are two parts to the site – firstly, a library of multitrack song packs, containing audio files, a PDF with information about all the equipment and settings used, and additional materials (MIDI, video, other audio, images).
Secondly, a directory of services - you'll be able to find musicians, producers and engineers to help you with your music – song feedback, mixdowns, session musicians and mastering.
The site is currently password protected - I'd like to have a certain amount of content on there before fully opening it up to the world and promoting it more widely – at the moment there are a few of my songs and services on offer. The details are:
www.insidemixes.com
user name: im
password: mixitup
I've created a demonstration song pack, so you can see what they contain (28 MB Zip file):
Fabrik_Europa_Metropolis.zip
I've also created documentation for the site (431 KB PDF file):
InsideMixes_Documentation.pdf
I hope it'll turn into a fantastic resource for developing producers, to help them get their music sounding a lot better. I hope a number of the more experienced producers here get on board and earn some money doing what they love.
Please let me know what you think!

Looks professionally done.
You didn't include a full version of metropolis in your pack! The song only plays for 14 seconds in the web player. |

Thankyou for the feedback!
Yes, the song is just a short snippet which can be looped in a sequencer. Multitrack audio takes up a lot of space, and I didn't want to tell people they had to download a 150 MB (or larger) file.
The songs on InsideMixes will vary in length - for some songs, you won't need the intro, outro etc (or a few verses and choruses, if we're talking about Pop or Rock), if all you're interested in is how the sounds fit together. For some purposes, 14 seconds will be enough. |

Thanks for the positive responses.
Hopefully the site can answer some of these "how do I get my basslines/ leads sounding like Artist X" questions (via the "Song Requests" forum) which pop up from time to time! |

Hello – just an update to let you know I've added two new songs to InsideMixes. The song packs contain all the audio tracks and the information about all the tools and settings used in the creation of the songs. Load the tracks into your sequencer, read the PDF and learn a few techniques to improve the sound of your mixes!
I'm also offering a few services via the site – song feedback (if you provide a multitrack file I can provide more detailed feedback), mixdown services, and session musician services – I have a number of hardware synths, and I'd be happy to run your MIDI files through them if you're looking for a particular sound.
The site is open to anyone who would like to sell multitrack songs for others to learn from, or who would like to provide services to other musicians.
Regards

Thanks FunctionC - yes, I hope that it helps people who are struggling with particular sounds and want to see how another producer handles it.
I'm going to work on some more cover songs in the next couple of weeks - are there any particular songs/artists/sounds anyone wants me (or anyone else who wants to have a go) to try to replicate? Otherwise I'll just try my hand at some of the bigger name artists. |
