I would like to start off by saying that, NO city parties like San Fran. I have been all over this country and parts of this world, but this past weekend showed me that SF IS where the party is at. I have never been to a place where pretty much every club I went to, EVERYONE is getting down. Everyone was having a good time, everyone was viben' to the music and most importantly everyone was down too earth. Only place it was douchey was in North Beach. I had to chill with some friends from that area because I promised them I would do so.
All of this is coming from a NorCal hater, so yeah I was impressed. The last time I came I was stuck with my g/f at the time and didn't get to go out much. This time was the total opposite, I was only in the hotel drinking and napping lol
I would like to thank Matt for giving me the 411 on spots, Omar for booking everything for me and I'm still star struck from meeting Billy Carter. Nice meeting Rafal, The Cazadores girl...errr Lyndsay :P , the people I met at Ruby Sky Friday night, everyone I met at Cocomo's (sorry i was smashed and I'm horrible with names), the people at that marina underground party (smashed), the people that I spoke to at the end up for Kontrol (more smashed), the people I spoke to at 1015 (smashed), the "kool kidz" from North Beach, and the one person I spoke to at Ruby for Shultz. Thanks guys I had an amazing time. I will defiantly be back soon, I will go there after the drag racing shoot out in Sacramento in August.
The last thing I wanted to mention is something funny that happened to me...
So the whole weekend I was keeping all the red bull cans, juice bottles, vodka bottles, etc etc to give to a homeless person to recycle. I always like to help them out with food. But this time I was like well I will give them all my recycled cans. Since I recycle I know I had a bag with easily 5 bucks in alum, glass and plastic.
So I then walk out of the Hyatt with everyone staring at me as i walk with a big trash bag of what looks like just a bunch of garbage. I looked like the one that was homeless, but whatever as most you guys know I can careless what people think. I get outside and look for the first homeless guy I find. He has his "spare change" sign and looks like your typical homless guy. So I think to myself "wow this guy is going to be pumped when I give him my cans." Uhhh no, he ing rejected me like a 2 dollar bill.
"Here you go man here are some cans, it's an easy 5 bucks in recyclables" "Sorry, I don't do cans." WHAT!? Are you ing kidding me? Your gawd damn lazy ass is sitting there asking for spare change, get off your ass and recycle. You're a ing scam artist is what you are! He then got up, gave me a weak dirty look and walked away.
I was blown away by all the homeless, but just like the dude that rejected me, I saw several other scam artist homeless guys. With unique signs, weak sad faces, I can go on and on with there schemes. All the stupid tourist are the ones that are keeping them there. They were giving them money left and right. I bought a few of them food but thats it, I never give them money.
Anyways sorry for that last rant lol...I will be back!!

I think only NYC has more homeless people. The difference people from NYC says is that the ones in NYC don't bother you as much. Prob because it's too cold, lol.
They come to the bay area because of the climate. Never gets too cold in the winter for them, and heat waves in the city are few and far between.

Likewise man. And your 2tall handle fits your bill, your a good 2 feet taller then me lol. And the bums didn't really bother me that much. It's just when I started to see that they were homeless for being lazy is when I got upset.
And Luke's set, not bad eh?

I flew, no driving. I am going to drive up to SacTown, but it's to take our race car up there and mop up the competition in that class. :toothless
As far as homeless, they are not all lazy. I know most end up that way because they are lazy or due to alcoholism or a drug addiction, but I am sure there are some out there that are just down on their luck and have legitimate excuses for being there. As far as the Mexican homeless, I know all the stats on em. I did a term paper on this exact subject 2 years ago in my Chicano studies class.

Ya i did notice that they bugged you more in SF then in NYC. Also, for some reason in NYC they are not as visible?
I spoke to at least 6-7 of them. Bought food/chips/soda for most of them but one. One was legit and I gave him the half pack of cigarettes my friend had, they all wanted alky but this is the only one that got me for something else then food. I just like hearing what they have to say on this "world." It's my form of TV since I don't watch TV lol

Haha...well i met a gurrrrrl in North Beach and she forced me to miss my Sunday flight back home, I had no choice. :nervous:
And I am 99% sure on LE. I can't plan ahead, my life is too unstable to plan that far ahead lol
Also, sorry I couldn't talk to you guys that much at Ruby Sky. I had my arm up in the air all night recording Luke's set. It was requested for me to do so, so I wasn't going to let anyone down. But because of so, I got all this amazing footage!

Defiantly!!
I will be up in Sacramento Raceway at the Shootout the 28th and 29th of August. If you still have the EVO, blow off the dust off of it and lets take the beast down the track.
If you need someone to drive it, I can :toothless

serious question:
SF has the best street festivals in the country. True or False?
