290 original samples, all recorded through high-end preamps, already mapped for Kontakt and Battery, and all this for free! Best sample company on Earth, IMO.

Good question. I've never owned either (808/606), but the TR606 is quite a bit simpler than the TR808, from what I understand, but I really don't know how the sound of the two machines compare/differ. These samples definitely do sound 808-ish, which isn't too surprising for obvious reasons.
This might help (?):

just quick question.
Are they compressed/processed or completely uncompressed?

The "Driven" and "Warm" kit samples are compressed, but in a musical way to give them some color, drive, and warmth, not in an over-compressed manner ala Thomas Penton. The other kit samples are not compressed to my knowledge, and they certainly don't sound or look (judging from the waveform) compressed. I assume that's what your're wondering, right?
But, I suggest trying the samples and seeing/hearing for yourself - it's free, dude! :D
