I had a listen to this today. Here is a short review:
The mixing is a bit sloppy sometimes. For example the one at 44 is out of sync.
My biggest concern was however the track selection. For a tech-trance mix it wasn't really "tech" enough IMO. I've said it before and I say it again. The best tech-trance is when the foundation of the track is a techno track with trance elements and not a trance track with techno elements.
The tracks in this mix were many regular uplifting trance tracks with higher BPM. Also the last track with the horrible vocals was way too cheesy and kind of ruined the ending of the mix.
I know it's up to personal taste my I've never been a big fan of the dutch tech trance ala Rank1, Marcel Woods etc.
I liked the John Askew tracks though. He's cool.
I'm actually also planning a tech trance mix in the near future. You are welcome to listen to it when I upload it. |
