Commonly pronounced 'duck' it's actually referred to as a DUKW amphibious vehicle, developed in WWII to land troops on beaches.

Seattle has their own set of ducks; they drive through the city tremendously slow and are really, really ing obnoxious. They are the bane of my existence. :mad:
