| not sure if this was a joke or not. there's almost no way you can mash these songs together... |

Honestly - I'm just having fun with this. My friend really likes the song Low Rider - and is coming around to like house and progressive music. She wondered if it would mash up with anything. I took several days toying with it...with little luck. This seemed to work best...sad as that may be. She loves this - as do most people around here that have heard it thus far. Clearly this track and idea may NOT appeal to the hardcore EDM fans, I understand that. Also, I am not uptight by any means. I am more than willing to make fun of myself and take heat or criticism...that's what music is all about! If everyone here hates this..well I can't control that, life goes on.
Around here (Orange County, CA) there are plenty of knowledgeable dance music people - but much more numerous are those who know nothing of it. This is probably why I can get away with something like this that may seem repulsive...but the casual music fan seems to enjoy it - and that's what I'm trying to appeal to right now. Hip hop and top 40 have had numerous "house like" tracks the last couple years which has helped tremendously.
All clubs around here want is numbers - if you bring people you play. it sucks, but it's reality. I am not a Black Eyed Peas fan at all, but I did tinker with "I Gotta Feeling" and people liked it. Christopher Walken, Tears for Fears, Suzanne Vega - just off the wall experiments to get peoples attention. I'm not famous and honestly never will be, but I'm tired of just mixing the latest big hits like all the other local DJ's. So again, for those who hate this - I somewhat agree with you - but you'd be surprised to know that there are people who actually like it. |

| Yeah, you can definitely get away with this one. Not my taste though. This made me lol. I would defintely tip my hat to a DJ who played this iff the crowd likes this stuff, they'll eat it up if it's not for hardcore trainspotting EDM fans. |
