As ed up as that tape sounds, I still think it's pretty unfair. She's recording the conversations, so she's doing her job to look sensible and calm, sounding all innocent, knowing her part will get out too. There's no telling what unrecorded conversations with her are like. She might be a raving lunatic who threatens to cut his balls off for all we know. It's too one-sided, and it feels slimy of her to even record these calls with the intent to sell them or whatever she's done to get them to Radaronline.
I'm sure his repeated claims of calling her an unappreciative gold digger are not warrant-less. |

the panting at the end of the audio clip is just scary. :nervous:
however, mel gibson saying "what ?!?!?!?" was hillarious.
otherwise, if this is a blatant attempt to get mel gibson on the front cover of magazines(which looks most likely), then this is low. truthfully, his movies suck. i can't name 1 good movie outside of braveheart he was good in. lethal weapon sucked balls. |

Haha... I liked the first 2 Lethal Weapon movies. Classic late 80's and early 90's cheese. He was much better as a director/producer though, with Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto. |

Uh... No.
The language he's using is far too controlling. A rational person wouldn't make such statements and would have left the situation before EVER feeling compelled to. If you're having a melt-down THAT epic, you're definitely doing something wrong. |

yeah, but I was thinking the same thing that 17s said; though what he's saying is obviously abusive and wrong either way, the public sees her as this perfectly calm innocent girl getting verbally raped by mel. it is a bit one-sided in that sense. |

Well, yeah I'm not saying Mel isn't a whack-job. But he didn't know he was being taped, and she did... giving her the ability to play a role. We don't know what she did or said away from the tapes, or what her role may have been in exacerbating a volatile situation... highly doubtful she's an innocent victim. |

True - she's probably not an angel (look who she married!) - but you have to ask yourself, why she felt compelled enough to tape the conversations? Outside of being for court and/or law enforcement, it presumes a certain Machiavellian sophistication - that she's been quietly driving him insane to get him to his rabid boiling point to then run a public shake-down on him. Is she a master manipulator capable of driving someone to a point so broken that he'll make death-threats? We already know Mel's history of being a basket case with certain mental illness symptoms being publicly demonstrated. Oksana doesn't have nearly as bad, a public record. |

I would bet that you just described her calculating plan to a T... knowing full well the fragile emotional state Mel has. To take the conspiracy theory a step further, my wife was reading in some of the Russian publications that she actually hired someone to find her this exact type of person- rich American, famous, and emotionally unstable. Apparently, the guy she hired specializes in profiling, sort of like how the FBI does here... she laid out the criteria, and Mel was one of the people that fit. So her handler set things in motion, in a sneaky way, by going through the right channels and convincing Mel and his people to be the executive producer to one of her albums (which he did), thus forcing them to meet. The rest is history. :p |

Having experience with a guy who would go off on these raving, outrageous rants like that, I can say a lot of time these are completely unprovoked and they fly off the handle for the littlest things. They can't be reasoned with and the safest thing to do is talk as calmly as possible.
All I can feel is repulsion for Mel, since I can understand why Oksana recorded the calls. I'm not saying she's completely innocent, especially considering her background (like 17s pointed out about her 'handler') but I can understand why she was so calm and recorded the calls. |
