That's why I laughed. We do have small scene but it's nothing like LA. We don't have a super club at all. We do have a small scene but even so, our scene isn't as diehard as LA. Most people that go to EDM parties in OC have no clue who the DJ is. OC's idea of EDM is Black Eye Peas or mashups.

Went to Voyeur for Markus and absolutely loved the club and had no problem with the crowd. I had more fun at Voyeur than at Sutra. Downside is the weak ass expensive mixed drinks. Heineken came to the rescue.

+1 (Though I went for Claude Von Stroke)

I also really liked Voyeur. True, the dancefloor can get a bit packed and hot, but overall, I plan on going back the next time I'm in SD. All the people I met were cool and having a good time.

I usually do a vodka tonic to test the strength of the drinks and if weak, beer it is.

No hassle to get in either with pre-sales. It was Halloween so there was a good size line and we breezed on in.

Neuro, sorry to hear about your views on Voyeur. It sounds like its not your place and thats perfectly ok.

For me, its my favorite spot and Voyeur is just going to get even better in the coming months starting the fall. In the past year, we brought almost every top DJ / Act in the biz and it will continue with serious momentum. The SD scene is getting educated and the numbers are growing and Voyeur (along with EV Events) has a lot to do with that. You can see those results the moment the headliner plugs his headphones into the mixer and the crowd erupts without him playing his first track. More than 50% of their crowd knows why they are there that night and its for the music. The douchey crowd will always be around but they frequent places like Ivy and other bottle service type venues..

Hope to see most of you on the 30th!!

Ps - we are doing a special event at Voyeur Monday August 23. I will be playing with Gareth Emery! Our last event with him was EPIC!

Ya I know. I don't really cry over spilled beer.

They got butt hurt because I bad mouthed the club once or twice here (or maybe something else?) and then decided to pull line games with me the next time I went.

Whatever, it happens...C'est la vie.
