LV Party tips??

hello from a Toronto TA !
i am going to be in LV this weekend (thursday- sunday)
what is the general feel of the EDM clubs?
we want to hit up rain on saturday, and are open for pool parties during the day and other clubs thursday/friday night!
where would you recommend to hear house/trance/techno/etc (essentially anything NOT TOP 40) in Las Vegas?
are there line ups to get in ?
what time is considered "busy time"?
when do they stop serving booze?
with being in a desert, are there dress codes?
I was in Ibiza the last 2 years and shorts were normal there, what about in Vegas?
any help would be great

Shorts definetly won't work at the clubs. Usually in Vegas people get dressed up nice. Jeans are fine with dress shirt and nice shoes.
Girls usually where nice sluty dresses.
Booze is always 24hrs a day in Vegas.
Not sure about events. But i believe Kaskade has a residency at the Encore pool on Sundays. |

does anyone have any specific places/events?
other then oakenfold i dont see any other international DJ's being in town this weekend? |

Look into Vanity Thursday night...Surrender wasn't bad Friday night (Steve Aoki was DJing when I went). Surrender is called Encore Beach Club during the day...their Sundays with Kaskade should be good. Also check Wet Republic and Tao Beach during the day to see if they have any DJ's you may want to check out.
The rest of the clubs play a cluster mix of hip hop, house, rock...
Drais Afterhouse is a nice place to hit up if you want to feel like a crack head and party late.
If you want to check out a strip club, check out Sapphire.

....and PVD and Starkillers @ Tao Beach...interesting.

if PVD is in the evening at Tao beach id check out REHAB for your daytime pool party on sunday. i dont think the wet republic lineup is all that appealing, at least for me, aside from christopher lawrence.
if you are planning to go to rehab, be in line no later than 830am. |
