My way for writing songs;
1) Decide what the song is going to be about. (ex. loving someone,breaking up,partying,etc.)
2) Just start singing, something will come to mind that rhymes and if nothing does than your not ready to write a song.
3) Make it mean something. ex. If I get dumped or i'm sad about something I usually sing about that and you can't just say "Okay i'm writing a song, what rhymes?" or whatever, it has to have meaning to it to really be a good song.
