Hey guys, I'm looking for some hard constructive criticism here. I know I have a pretty good theme going, but I feel it's lacking something. And, the mix definitely needs some work.
i think i know what you mean by lacking something but tbh the type of area you are making here its very hard to add more without swamping the hole thing.
and its all down to personal preference as to what you like to hear in your own work. the break was great i think it needs some atmospheric sounds in there maybe to drive it along people like to here key elements so that they can get what the track is about.
and the mix was fine to me

You need more swooshes, blipblipblips and shazoos. Maybe some pads or synths playing complex jazzy chords occasionally would sound cool. Simple synths playing simple melodies panned and in the background also often works quite well.
Other than that, I'm impressed by this. I dig the bassline and groove; top notch!

Thanks for the compliments! I think what's bothering me is the intro. Maybe I can throw in an extra element to spice it up. As far as the mix goes, I've probably just listened to it way too much and need to take a step back for a bit.
@Owien, Maybe the breaks a little too long? I've heard that from a few friends.

Also, is the subbass coming across good on your monitors? (A local DJ played it in a club the other night and I thought it might have been lacking a bit)
