Guvernment
Marco V was scheduled on aug. 24th, however some Markus Schulz is playing instead??? WTF?? |

Look at Montreal and the tilent they are getting this summer
we are getting absolutely nobody, wtf.........

| I am not suprised. not because Tornto sucks or anything because it DOESN'T But.... I think the promoters in Montreal are giving the talen a lot more $$$$$ for performing. Probably some heavy investers involved in this, if that is indeed the case why Marco V and some other talent are not performing in TO. All the good Talent is in Montreal cause some dude over there has a good sense of investing. I wonder what they are charging for you to see the talent over there..... |

Alright the story is like this: MARCO V will not play on Saturday night at GUV. HOWEVER they have him playing Guv at something they will be doing midweek. |

WOW, that's pretty stupid now don't you think.
Nobody in Toronto knows about Marco V, how the hell are they gonna fill Guv. at the end of august, a week before Summer's end for just Marco V(with all due respect to Marco V he is not nearly as popular in Toronto as Judge Jules, PVD or Tiesto all of whom played at Guv during the week).
Unless of course he'll be spinning during Summer's End. |

20-25$.. average prices and yes very agressive promoting on Aria's part... notice that Sona is like the clubs in TO, rarely booking any DJs anymore |

Au Contraire..
It is about the money. Club owners will fill the club up to the ceiling no matter what when they got a hot DJ coming in From Europe. They will chage u up to $30 CDN + Alcohol at ludicrus prices only because they got PVD or MArco V coming in on a RARE (they will underline this) appearnce by the DJ. So they charge you more money just for that.
If the DJ is not under any contract (ie. he Pays his own "way") to come here he can cancel any time or Postpone of he wants to and spin at another club for more money. But most clubs nowadays do have the DJs under contract. But a rare appearance like MARCO V coming to Canada one rich club owner with some hefty investors will try to book him and give him more dough to play at their club. All that Marco V has to do is postpone his appearance here and extend his trip (if he is paying it for himself). But then again I do no tknow that as a fact, but you also do not know for a fact that it is not about the money. Please, if you care to, explain why IT IS NOT about the money... |

| Besides all this... On marco V OFFICIAL WEBSITE http://www.marcov.nl it still says that he WILL SPIN @GUV August 24, and his site was updated YESTERDAY, July 22nd 2002. |

Hmm... it smells like GUV decided to bring Marco V for Summer's End... I mean, why bring him a week before on his own, when they can bring a whole bunch of great DJs on September 1st!
