Unlocking mobile phones

Anyone have any experience of making a phone able to take the sim card of any provider? Rather than take a phone to the shops to the shops to get unlocked, would rather give it a bash myself.

I remember Nokias being easy as hell to unlock back then, have no clue wtf is going on now.
Can you tell us what phone you are trying to unlock? |

Not necessarily true at all. Some you flash, some you don't.

| I know it seems unreasonable, but try looking for unlocking/flashing/rooting/hacking "phone name" on your search engine of choice. |

lol I visited that forum twice. Both times I couldn't figure out why. It was dead as doornails. |
