Hey guys
I was just after some feedback on a website we made: www.mixeeba.com
Basically you paste in a tracklist and it searches all the big and small stores for where you can buy each track, then drops you an email.
Please let me know what you guys think, whether its good for the industry and what else you'd like to see :)
Thanks :D |

Yo guys..
@outofspace - Did it come through in the end?
@PivotTechno - Yes, back in the day... Better sites cropped up like soundcloud, mixcloud and letsmix and they did a better job than I did, so I moved onto something else for the scene - hopefully this makes a difference!
@19503 + @Brick - The email part is a pain, it takes a while to collate the results so this was a necessary evil. However, once you submit a tracklist you can get on with something else and it'll be sitting in your inbox forever... I'm thinking I could tweet you the link to your tracklist - will that help?!
Keep the feedback coming guys :) |

| ah. if the results arent instant then email is probably the best solution, or maybe a progress-bar/timeglass solution? but i wonder, how do you gain anything from this? no commercials etc? or do u get "clicks" from beatport, iTunes etc? |

Progress bar is doable.. it all depends on what stores you pick, for instance if you just want itunes I could do it instantly, but if you want all stores it takes up to 10 seconds per track, so with 12 tracks you'll be there for a couple of minutes.
As for gaining anything... well, just trying to do something useful. Used to host mixes before, someone else did that better than we did, so came up with this... which no one else is doing! And of course it helps everyone from labels down to listeners.. |

Maybe you could give people multiple options of how they receive the results?
i.e. Send results to my: Email, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, or wait |
